Power of Persistence

Greetings,

As we head into a glorious summer, we would like to take this opportunity to update you on our plans for the next few months.

From June through August, my wife and I will be stationed in Taiwan.  As we saw the Lord begin to raise up a core team for the 10,500 work in Taiwan and China, we sense the leading to devote our summer there to solidify the market place and ministry partnerships.  In addition to developing Villark Ventures’ transaction platform and corporate consulting/training, we are also scheduled to minister at a few conferences.  Please write us if you will be in the area.

On October 3rd – 6th, I will be speaking about the 10,500 at an event in Houston called International Christian Entrepreneurs Conference.  This conference is sponsored by Chinese Christian Business Association and is the first of its kind to be held in North America.  They hope to see 200+ Mainland China market place Christians participate in this event.  Please check out the website.  I will provide more details on this event in the coming weeks.

Even through we feel excited and privileged to labor in the midst of such Kingdom assignment, we also tremble at the awesome task before us.  We expect much fruit along with challenges.  As a network connected on the basis of prayer, we ask for your intercessory support – to be continueous and persistent, just like the widow who sought justice through an unjust judge:

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.  And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?  I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly…”  Luke 18:6-8.

Modeling this Romans 12:1 principle

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” – Romans 12:1

Greetings!

Paul’s exhortation to the church in Rome provides a basic principle for leaders of Kingdom companies.  That principle is to live as a living sacrifice for the sole purpose of pleasing God.  In other words, nothing will compete with our striving to fulfill God’s agenda and satisfying His desire.

God has a clear agenda for the restoration of Christ’s earthly Kingdom.  His desire is to allow the rising of a great darkness to bring about the great harvest.  For more a more detailed description of this agenda, please refer to the following article:  The Kingdom Economy – a Key Tool for the Great Tribulation Harvest.

Leaders of Kingdom companies living the Romans 12:1 principle will align their corporate agendas with Christ’s Kingdom agenda.  They will consider everything that they steward as a living sacrifice – meaning that they give up the rights to pursue personal ambitions in order to fulfill Christ’s Kingdom desire (Isaiah 9:7, Hebrews 12:2).  Such leaders understand how their company assets will build the Kingdom economy and are actively preparing this “End-Time ark” for the coming great darkness and harvest.

In the following weeks, we will highlight the following company leaders who are modeling this Romans 12:1 principle:

Elder Andrew Chang (章啟明) – President of Pacific Construction Company and Founder of Tabernacle of David Prayer Center;

Dr. Hsin-Chia Chao (趙信嘉) – CEO of Twintech Industries.

For this week, we encourage you to begin interceding for these two individuals as they submit their enterprises to the Romans 12:1 principle.  Let us also continue last week’s intercession for Brother Gary Wang as he strives to build a Christ-centered company.  Please click here for last week’s sharing and intercession.

Tabernacle in the marketing place

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.  Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.” – Exodus 25:8-9.

After the Lord laid out for the Israelites the laws to regulate their market place (Exodus 21-23), He then, in Exodus 25, gave Moses the true secret to bringing order and prosperity to the community.  It is to connect heaven and earth by establishing God’s dwelling, the tabernacle, among His people.

The same principle applies to a Christ-centered company.  Such a company connects to heaven by establishing God’s dwelling in its midst, and Brother Gary Wang has taken that to heart.  Just under one year ago, Gary followed scriptural example and established a “Market Place Tabernacle of David” in one of his former residences.  Along with the tabernacle facility, he also supports a team of management staff and intercessors/musicians to propagate intercession for the market place of Taiwan.  We do expect that this act of worship will yield great fruits to not only Eastern Media Group, but also to Asia’s Kingdom advancement as a whole.

Please lift up Gary and Eastern Media Group in your prayers.  He is committed to building a Christ-centered company but faces many challenges ahead, including his pending legal case and the pressures of leading a very high profile company.  Please continue in the prayers from last week that God will:

  1. Continue to provide strong leaders to disciple Gary into His Kingdom destiny;
  2. Transform Eastern Media Group through the raising up of many “Josephs” & “Daniels”;
  3. Prosper the company in its striving to become a model Kingdom media enterprise.

The Characters of Kingdom Company

Welcome to the 10,500 Global Prayer Connect.  This week, we will begin a focus on raising up Kingdom enterprises.

An economic system composes of networks of companies.  Likewise, a Kingdom economic system will compose of a network of Kingdom companies.  So in 10,500’s call to build the Kingdom economy, we must build up the Kingdom company.

What is a Kingdom company?  One may be characterized as follows:

  1. Christ centered
  2. Led by leaders who pursue their Kingdom assignment
    1. Preparation for the coming great darkness
    2. Preparation for the Great Tribulation Harvest
  3. Supported by “Josephs” & “Daniels”

In the following weeks, we will expound on each area with details and examples.  This week, we will highlight Eastern Media Group and its CEO, Gary Wang, to be lifted up in our intercessory network.

In 2005, Gary was a highly influential media magnate who ranked #9 in Taiwan for personal net worth.  Through a financial scandal committed by his father, Gary was implicated when the elder Mr. Wang escaped Taiwan.  Gary subsequently lost his wealth and was imprisoned for almost a year, during which, Christ foretold to him a miraculous release through a dream.  Through that experience, Gary turned away from Buddhism and fully committed his life to Christ.

In the past few years, as God restored pieces of Eastern Media Group back to Gary, this CEO began a process of submitting his company of 2,700 employees to Christ.  One of his expressions of Christ-centeredness is in the monthly company blessings.  In Taiwan, many company leaders practice a semimonthly ritual of idol offering to gain financial protection and favor.  Gary turned away from this practice and has now replaced these rituals with a lunch-time worship in prayer and blessings with his senior management team, many of whom are not yet Christians.

I participated in one of these lunch-time worships last week.  Please click here to hear a segment of that worship.  In it, I share a short message while Gary followed up with a word of encouragement for the management team.

Please lift up Gary and Eastern Media Group in your prayers.  As a young and high profile Christian, Gary carries a great Kingdom responsibility, both professionally and personally.  Please pray that God will:

  1. Continue to provide strong leaders to disciple Gary into his Kingdom destiny;
  2. Transform Eastern Media Group through the raising up of many “Josephs” & “Daniels”;
  3. Prosper the company in its striving to become a model Kingdom media enterprise.

Thank you for your support of this Kingdom company.
