Perseverance

“Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, ‘Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?’  Jesus said, ‘Have the people sit down.’ There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them.  Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.”  John 6:8-11

In making offerings for God’s Kingdom, do we ever become disappointed when He does not seem to respond with blessings according to our timing and expectations?  In the event of the boy who offered up 5 loaves & 2 fishes, it is easy to see the lesson of sacrifice based on Christ’s call.  But a subtle, yet important principle to realizing God’s power demonstration is played out in the process of testing and preparation.

After the boy offered over his meal, Christ did not respond immediately with any multiplication.  Instead, He took the time to ask his disciples to accomplish the daunting task of organizing 20,000 or so people for large scale food distribution – when there is no food.  It may have taken at least several hours to accomplish this task with such a large crowd mired in confusion and desperation.  What must the boy be thinking at this time?  Could he be regretting the offering?  Maybe he could have saved at least himself if he kept the food.

God’s way of blessing the offering of our companies and careers often follows a similar pattern.  Our offerings of faith only kick starts the miracle process.  But to fully realize the blessings of God’s power, we must persevere through a period of testing and preparation.  It is certainly conceivable that the boy could have taken the food back and the story would have ended very differently.  But he didn’t.  He persevered and realized the power demonstration of Christ’s Kingdom economy.

Let’s intercede this week for the many “ark builders” who have offered up their companies and careers for Christ’s End-Time Kingdom mandate.  Like Dr. Hsin-Chia of Twintech, many are going through a period of testing and preparation for a power demonstration of the Kingdom economy.  Let’s lift them up in prayer that they will persevere like the boy of offering.

Two witnesses

Please note the English version below.

Please note that we will hold this week’s GPC gathering on Thursday, 6 PM Central Time (Friday 7 AM China/Taiwan).

A few weeks ago, I began sharing on some key characteristics of a Kingdom company, which are:

1.Christ centered
2.Led by leaders who pursue their Kingdom assignment
a.Preparation for the coming great darkness
b.Preparation for the Great Tribulation Harvest
3. Supported by “Josephs” & “Daniels”

This week, we will begin highlighting a few company leaders that are striving to pursue their Kingdom assignments through the assets of their enterprises.

Dr. Hsin-Chia Chao had originally planned to pursue an academic career after receiving his doctorate in environmental engineering.  But through a series of surprisingly successful business experiences, he “stumbled” into the promotional gift items industry and started a company called Twintech Industries – named after his twin sons Joseph and Benjamin.  Even though he worked hard over the years to build Twintech into one of the leading providers of technology oriented promotional items, such as USB and MP3 players, it wasn’t until he came across the 10,500 message that he began to realize the Kingdom significance of his company.

One of 10,500’s key assignments is to build a part of the Kingdom economy in preparation for the coming great darkness and Great Tribulation harvest.  A Kingdom economy is the connection of many Kingdom companies, a Body transacting and creating value under the headship and governance of Christ.  When Brother Hsin-Chia applied this Kingdom assignment to Twintech, he saw the importance of his company’s role as an early model of Kingdom connection.  Because almost every business has needs for promotional items, Twintech can universally connect on the transaction level with every type of company in every industry.  This gave Hsin-Chia wide ranging opportunities to develop models of transactions covered under Biblical governance.

Today, Dr. Hsin-Chia frames all of his business activities around building Kingdom connections, whether in serving current customers or developing new products, customers, and partners.  In the course of building Kingdom transaction models, Hsin-Chia is also expanding into the gourmet coffee industry as God begins to open new doors in this realm.  Hsin-Chia’s vision is to develop an end-to-end value chain served by Kingdom companies – from coffee bean growers who are pastors serving in Yunnan to end consumers all over the world.

Twintech Industries is pressing forth as a Kingdom company today because its leader has fully dedicated its assets to the preparation of the Kingdom economy, the “ark” for the coming great darkness and harvest.  Let’s intercede together for this important Kingdom seed, a 5 loaves and 2 fishes offering to serve Christ’s Kingdom passion.  The Lord has taken Hsin-Chia’s offering and is in the process of preparing us for the power demonstration of His Kingdom economy.  I will share more on this principle of “Kingdom open heaven” next week.  For this week, please intercede for Twintech and the coffee value chain project in that:

  1. The Holy Spirit will sustain Dr. Hsin-Chia as he is being tested and prepared for His position in the Kingdom economy.  Twintech is currently going through a very difficult project for a key customer.  Please intercede for God’s favor over this transaction, that it will be fruitful as a Kingdom testimony.
  2. The right “ark builders” will connect into the coffee value chain as Hsin-Chia plants this important Kingdom seed.

Ark Builders

“They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said.”  Acts 14:21-22

For the past week, I traveled with several co-workers (including Dr. Hsin-Chia Chao & Dr. Shaun Wang) through Hong Kong and China for strengthening and encouraging God’s market place soldiers.  It was a powerful time of reconnecting and imparting a clearer vision for our 10,500 Kingdom assignment.  We certainly can relate to the laboring of Paul and his team as they contended for the Kingdom network during their time.  As we interacted with many market place Christians on Christ’s End-Time Kingdom mandate, we began to come to grips with Jesus’ words in Matthew 19:24 that, “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.”  The contention for Kingdom territory is an intense battle that begins in the hearts and minds.

Yet, we have been tremendously encouraged by the Holy Spirit’s preparation of many “ark builders” in the areas of finance, consulting, education, media, arts, software, minerals, energy, sports, biology, trading, ministry, intercession, and even child care (I will share about this particular project in a future GPC).  We have been lifted up by many who are striving after Kingdom significance in their careers.  The Holy Spirit also spoke powerfully through us as we ministered prophetically concerning their Kingdom destinies.  God is certainly forcibly advancing His Kingdom!

Please join us this week in intercession for the network of market place soldiers and ark builders that God is raising up.  To keep up with the team’s intercession flow, I strongly encourage you to listen to the Global Prayer Connect broadcasts from the past two weeks:

Raising Up Kingdom Builders of this Age – “Aquila and Priscilla”

I am in Taiwan now and will head to Hong Kong today to attend the “Homecoming” gathering.  This powerful event brings believers from around the world to seek and hear God’s voice concerning His agenda for the Church today.  I am full of anticipation!!  Because I will attend this event for several days and will not be able to host the Global Prayer Connect this week, Senior Pastor Tai will lead this week’s intercession for us.

Please intercede that:

  1. We will clearly understand the Spirit’s plan to build a strong and committed 10,500 work team in Taiwan and China.
  2. God will raise up among us people like Paul’s partners Acquila and Pricilla – market place soldiers fully committed to the Kingdom call of this age.

“After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.   There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.”  Acts 18:1-3

“Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus.  They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.”  Romans 16:3-4
