The Jehoshaphat Model

This Week’s Audio Message

One of our key 10,500 assignments is to raise up companies with a Kingdom purpose, bringing God’s wisdom, values, and blessings to all aspects of their strategy, operation, and teamwork.

Last week, I shared about how operating in Christ’s “love capacity” is critical to raising up a strong team or company.  This week, I would like to share with you an article that introduces the “Jehoshaphat Model”, which is an effective tool for raising up Kingdom enterprises.  The “Jehoshaphat Model” helps a company experience God’s wisdom & blessings through the workings of the functions of Priest-Prophet-King, bringing about a powerful testimony to the market place.  Recently, a team from Qindao that publishes a quarterly magazine called “The Christian CEO” ran this article based on some of my messages.

Because I am traveling through China, the prayer offer this week will be led by Pastor Li-En Tai.

Know Our Love Capacity, Lead a Team to Success

This Week’s Audio Message

Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.“ – John 5:19-21

Last week, our message expounded on how “making joy complete” plays a basic part in effective leadership.  An important factor in “making joy complete” is to know our “love capacity” in Christ, which allows us to show grace, sacrifice, and intent to build others up.  Such exercise of “love capacity” is critical for building forerunner teams that seek to break new grounds because uncertainties and unexpected outcomes will constantly test a team’s resolve to stay together.  Grace, sacrifice, and building others up are the vital bonding elements that keep a team intact.

Christ demonstrated for us a key principle of operating in God’s capacity.  It is to know the Father’s agenda.  If we want to lead others in God’s capacity, we must realize that our own “love capacity” can “do nothing”.  But if we follow what He is doing, we will then operate in His capacity and flow His living water.  This leadership principle can make a day and night difference to a team’s unity and productivity.

Market Place Prayer

We pray that the Holy Spirit will teach our market place leaders to know the Father’s agenda, and thereby, lead in Christ’s “love capacity”.  As they operate in such leadership, they will help their teams overcome the human instincts of protecting only themselves and promoting only their self-interests.  We want to see a testimony of leadership that leads in Christ’s supernatural capacity, raising up teams with unity and productivity that the world will admire and follow.

Joy – Key to Effective Leadership

This Week’s Audio Message

“ If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” – Philippians 2:1-2

During last week’s message, we mentioned that the key components of joy, as pointed out by Paul to the Philippians, are unity in our Kingdom purpose and loving one another in Christ’s abundant capacity.

In continuing to seek wisdom in this passage, I like to highlight a key concept of joy from the phrase “…make my joy complete…”  This word “complete” (Greek – plaroo) means to fulfill, to make a vision come to pass, or to transform an idea into reality.  From this understanding, we expound on Paul’s message here as saying, “My joy is seeing an awesome vision of you manifesting Kingdom power and witness.  Now complete my joy by making that vision real.  You can do it by being like-minded and loving one another because of your abundant capacity in Christ.”

Understanding this concept of joy reveals some important insights in leading and motivating others, whether in our families, fellowships, or business spheres.  To effectively lead people to complete a challenging goal, we must:

  1. Bring about joy – a future vision of accomplishment, satisfaction, happiness;
  2. Establish team unity – right heart, right position, right goal;
  3. Help team members see their “love capacity” – grace, sacrifice, and building others up.

Market Place Prayer

May the Lord breathe joy into the hearts of His market place leaders today, such that they can motivate their teams through a divine vision of accomplishment, satisfaction, and happiness.  May the Lord impart wisdom to fulfill that joy through team unity and love capacity.
