Prophesy to Dry Bones

This Week’s Audio Message

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!  This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.  I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’”  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.  – Ezekiel 37:4-10

In sharing on “A Psalmist’s View of Kingdom DNA” last week, we concluded on the idea that a key to activating our Kingdom DNA is to speak forth the prophetic message of our destiny, just like the account recorded in Ezekiel 37.

The picture message of Ezekiel resurrecting the dry bones shows how prophetic authority activates our dormant Kingdom DNA.  Ezekiel’s first prophetic declaration to the dry bones rebuilt the physical identity and bodily functions defined by their physical DNA.  But their full Kingdom DNAs were not activated until the second declaration.  This prophecy, spoken to the breath of the four winds, breathed life – purpose and significance – into those bodies previously destroyed by the enemy.  With the impartation of life, the people saw their purpose and stood as a vast army ready to serve their king, to take on their mission, to fulfill their destiny.  We have the same call today to activate Kingdom DNA by speaking forth destiny.

In our engagement with Tony Wear, one of the most fulfilling experiences is our opportunity to speak prophetically into the lives of numerous individuals from the product team.  Our responsibility to train the organization on the concepts of “River of Water of Life” set the context for us to hold small group and individual trainings.  During these meetings, we experienced the Holy Spirit’s destiny messages flowing through us like living water, similar to how Ezekiel declared life into the dry bones.  In both subtle and visible ways, we sensed a shift in the atmosphere as the power of destiny began to permeate into the “dry bones” of the team, activating their Kingdom DNA.

As a provider of fashion apparel, Tony Wear has a destiny to reflect God’s fervent redemptive heart.  In God’s very first act of giving after Adam & Eve sinned, He provided them clothing to cover their shame through the sacrifice of a life (Genesis 3:21), to give them a path to the restoration of life – of purpose and significance.  We will be returning to Tony Wear next week to further exercise the example set by Ezekiel – to activate its Kingdom DNA by declaring over this enterprise its destiny.  We will continue to disciple this organization in the “River of Water of Life” and usher them to their 2013 autumn-winter seasonal theme – “All Things Are Possible”.

Please partner with us in prayer – that the Holy Spirit will restore life into the dry bones as we prophecy destiny over Tony Wear and its leader, Elder Donald Wu.

Market Place Meditation and Prayer

  1. What is the destiny God encoded into my Kingdom DNA?  How is that DNA being expressed today?
  2. What is the destiny of my family, my church, my community, my company, my sphere of influence…?

Lord, open our eyes, as you opened Ezekiel’s eyes, to equip us as agents of destiny, to proclaim the life of Kingdom DNA into places of death, to speak living water to the dried & parched land of our market places – ministry, home, and work place.
