\u201cYour kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.\u201d \u2013 Matthew 6:10<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.\u201d\u00a0 – Matthew 16:19<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThen Jesus came to them and said, \u2019All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.\u2019\u201d \u2013 Matthew 28:18<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment\u2014to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.\u201d \u2013 Ephesians 1:9-10<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. \u2013 Colossians 1:19-20<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/p>\n

What is a common theme that weaves through all these verses?\u00a0 All of them speak of an essential element in God\u2019s Kingdom agenda: the connection between heaven and earth.\u00a0 Grasping this principle will help us to properly steward our market place assets, whether it\u2019s our finances, career, or enterprise.<\/p>\n

Revelation 11:15 says that Christ will take over the world\u2019s kingdoms when He returns.\u00a0 In other words, when Christ returns with His heavenly armada, He is not going to \u201cburn\u201d the earth and its physical assets.\u00a0 But rather, He will apportion to us responsibilities over Kingdom assets according to our faithfulness (Luke 19:11-27, Revelation 3:21, 5:10).\u00a0 Christ\u2019s agenda is to bring His heavenly governance into our stewardship over His earthly Kingdom \u2013 bringing together heaven and earth under one head.<\/p>\n

Grasping this perspective makes a night and day difference in the way we steward our careers and enterprises for Christ\u2019s Kingdom agenda.\u00a0 We will share more on this next week.<\/p>\n
